Is Buying FC Coins Safe?
Not in the sense of “nothing can happen”. Buying coins goes against EA’s terms, EA can act against an account, and nobody can honestly promise you it will not. Below are the facts, in EA’s own words where possible, so you can decide for yourself.
The short answer
When you buy FC 27 coins from a third party, you go against the agreement you accepted with EA. EA says so on its own help pages, it names comfort trades in particular, and it lists penalties up to closing a club or banning an account. That is the risk, and it is real.
So is buying FC coins safe? That depends on how much risk you accept. We cannot tell you how often EA acts, because EA publishes no such figures, and we will not make numbers up. What we can do is explain what EA says, what the delivery involves and which habits keep the risk lower, so the decision is yours and an informed one. The sections below go through it point by point.
What EA’s rules say
The EA User Agreement, in its section on rules of conduct, asks players not to be involved in account or in-game currency buying, selling, distributing or farming. The same agreement says EA virtual currency has no monetary value and cannot be sold, traded, transferred or exchanged for cash.
EA’s help article on playing EA SPORTS FC by the rules is more direct. It tells players not to buy coins, because buying them from a third party is not allowed, and explains that coins can be earned by playing and by selling items on the Transfer Market, but not bought.
EA also lists the fair ways to get coins: playing Ultimate Team matches, earning rewards in modes such as Rivals and Squad Battles, quick-selling tradeable items, and selling items on the market at a fair price. Everything outside that list is off-limits in EA’s eyes.
What EA can do
Two EA help pages, the rules page and How to use Ultimate Team Coins and EA SPORTS FC Points safely, give the same list of possible actions. EA notes that they can apply as a first-time action:
- removal from leaderboards;
- removal of your Ultimate Team coins;
- deletion of your Ultimate Team club;
- a temporary or permanent ban from FC online play;
- a ban from the current FC game, all FC games, or some or all EA games;
- console suspension;
- restricted Transfer Market access;
- other restrictions.
A blocked market shows a message in the Web and Companion apps saying the account has been blocked from the Transfer Market for breaking EA’s rules. EA adds that using the market for coin buying or distribution may lead to limited or revoked access both in the apps and on console or PC.
Penalties and the next game
A restriction does not always stay with the game it was given in. EA says a Transfer Market block from FC 26 does not carry over to FC 27, but the player loses the automatic app access that returning players get and has to earn it again by playing. A restriction at the level of the whole FC franchise does carry over. In other words, the most serious penalties reach further than one club and its FC 27 coins.
Why EA names comfort trades
EA’s rules page says that buying mule accounts or performing comfort trades harms the game economy. It also warns that coin sellers often require login details, which can lead to stolen coins, items or a whole account, that sharing account information is a violation, and that players should not give their login information to anyone. EA’s security page adds that verification codes and passkeys should never be shared either.
Here is what that means in practice. Comfort Trade, the only delivery method our partner offers at the moment, needs access to your club: after payment you provide, in any case, the e-mail of the EA account and a set of backup codes, and a seller logs in via the Web App to bring the FC 27 coins over with market trades. Backup codes are verification codes, so sending them is exactly the kind of access EA warns about, and we prefer to say it plainly.
How the access is handled: the seller uses one backup code per sign-in, all contact runs through the order chat on the checkout site, and the details you sent cannot be changed by anyone afterwards. Once the order is completed, look over your EA security settings and keep two-factor authentication switched on.
What lowers the risk
No habit removes the risk of a ban, but several things clearly matter, because they are what EA’s own help pages point at.
- Never pass coins on to friends or to a second account. EA calls sending coins to a friend coin distribution and says that funnelling coins between accounts breaks its rules.
- Do not use bots, automation or auto-buyers. EA forbids them separately, whatever the source of your coins.
- Keep trading at fair prices. Selling items for a fair price is on EA’s list of fair ways to earn.
- Buy for the club you actually play with. Your club lives on one platform family, PlayStation (PS4 and PS5), Xbox (One and Series XS) or PC, and FC 27 coins never travel between them.
- Keep two-factor authentication on. EA recommends it, sends a code when a new device logs in, and treats backup codes as the only way in if you lose your usual method.
- Order what your squad plans need. Nobody can name an amount that is sure to go unnoticed, so be wary of anyone who claims to.
The step-by-step page turns the after-delivery part into a checklist you can tick off.

Paying safely
FCCoins never takes a payment. Choosing an amount here only prepares the order; you pay at the checkout of our partner marketplace with the method you prefer:
- a card, on a secure Stripe page where you type your card details yourself;
- crypto in USDT or USDC, with the network, amount and wallet shown on the payment page and confirmed automatically;
- PayPal on request: message support before you pay and you receive a PayPal request.
Each method shows its service fee next to its name, and it is added on top of the price of the FC 27 coins, so the amount you confirm is the amount you pay. If the payment does not go through, the order is not processed and nobody starts working on it.
Refunds follow the marketplace policy: the request has to come within 21 days of paying. Orders that could not be completed are refunded completely; orders already in delivery get back a share that depends on progress. A lower price later does not give money back. Current rates per platform: cheap FC coins and today’s prices.
If something goes wrong
If FC 27 coins are missing after delivery, or the order seems stuck, write in the order chat on the checkout site and give your order number. If your backup codes ran out or you made a typo in the details, use the live chat as well; details cannot be edited after sending, but support can sort it out. Keep the confirmation e-mail and your order number until the order is closed; support asks for them first.
Cancelling also goes through support, since the order page has no button for it. For a cancellation or a refund, send your order number, name and e-mail, the order date, the amount, the payment method and the reason.
If EA restricts your account, that is EA’s decision under its own agreement. We cannot reverse it, and neither can a seller. You can contact EA Help about your account.
| Who | Looks after |
|---|---|
| FCCoins | today’s rates, the explanations and the order card |
| Partner marketplace | payment, delivery, support and money-back requests |
| EA | your account, its terms and any penalty |
Never move a conversation with a seller to another app and never pay outside the checkout. The order chat hides contact details and links on purpose.
Is it legal?
Buying coins breaks the EA User Agreement, the contract you accepted with your EA account. That is what EA enforces with the penalties above. Whether such a purchase is legal where you live is a different question that depends on your country, and we are not lawyers: nothing on this site is legal advice.
What we can say is how this site works. FCCoins is an independent site that shows prices and explains the process; payment and delivery happen at the partner marketplace, which runs checkout, support and refunds. FCCoins itself collects no account details: delivery details go only into your order at the marketplace.
Does the platform matter?
EA’s terms apply the same way on every platform. What differs is the market behind the price: player guides report that PlayStation and Xbox share a single market while PC runs a separate one, which is why FC 27 coins on PC can cost a different amount. FC coins for PS5, Xbox and PC explains the platform side in detail.
Questions and answers
Does EA say anything about comfort trades?
Yes. EA’s help page on playing by the rules says that buying mule accounts or performing comfort trades harms the game economy, and it warns that coin sellers often need login details. So the delivery method used here is one EA mentions by name. We think you should know that before you decide, not after.
What can EA do to my account?
EA lists removing you from leaderboards, removing your Ultimate Team coins, deleting your club, temporary or permanent bans from online play or from FC and other EA games, console suspension and restricted Transfer Market access. EA says these can apply even as a first action, so there is no guaranteed warning before a penalty.
Can EA take away the coins I bought?
It can. Removing Ultimate Team coins is one of the actions EA names in its help pages, next to blocking the Transfer Market and closing a club. A refund from the marketplace covers orders that were not delivered or were stopped; a decision EA makes about your account afterwards is not something a seller can reverse.
Is my payment protected?
With a card you pay on a secure Stripe page, so FCCoins and the seller never see the card number. Crypto is confirmed automatically on the payment page, and PayPal arrives as a payment request after you ask support. FCCoins takes no money at all, and a refund request is possible for 21 days after paying.
Does the platform change the risk?
EA applies one set of rules to every platform, and we know of no reliable data that PlayStation, Xbox or PC is treated differently. What differs is the market: according to player guides, consoles share one market and PC has its own. Make sure you buy for the club you play with, because coins cannot be moved later.
What should I do right after delivery?
Check your balance and leave two-factor authentication switched on. Leave the coins where they landed instead of sending them to friends or a second account, which EA treats as distribution, and stay away from bots and auto-buyers. Trade players at fair prices. The how-to page has a checklist you can tick off in your browser.
