Three platforms, three clubs

EA keeps Ultimate Team progress inside a platform family. PlayStation consoles share one club, Xbox consoles share another, and PC is a club of its own. Some players say FUT coins or FIFA coins instead of FC 27 coins; either way the balance belongs to one of those clubs, and there is no official way to move it to another.

Cross-play is a different thing from a shared club. It decides who you meet in matches: PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC play in the current-gen group, PS4 and Xbox One in the old-gen group. It is on by default, you can switch it off, and it never merges clubs or balances.

FC coins for PS5 and PS4

Sony’s two consoles form one club. EA carries all Ultimate Team progress from the older model to the newer one, and on this platform that cross-progression exists only in Ultimate Team, which is exactly where coins live. The upgrade of FC 27 between them is free, so if you change consoles during the season, the coins come along.

Today these coins cost €7.02 per 100K, or €70.16 per million. According to player guides, both Sony consoles trade on the same console market as Xbox, as EA confirmed for earlier games, which is why the two console rates usually match.

FC coins for Xbox: Series X|S and One

Microsoft’s consoles work the same way. Progress carries from Xbox One to Series X|S, the upgrade is free, and both open the same club. It does not carry to Sony’s machines or to a computer: EA states that cross-progression is only available on the same platform.

The rate today is €7.02 per 100K and €70.16 per million, level with the Sony club. Cross-play groups decide who you meet in matches; they never change where your coins sit.

FC coins for PC: EA app, Steam and Epic

PC is a club of its own, shared with neither console family. You can play FC 27 there via Steam, the Epic Games Store or the EA app. Steam and Epic still require an EA account and the EA app, so the e-mail of that EA account is what the delivery needs.

PC also has its own Transfer Market, separate from the consoles. EA confirmed that for earlier games and player guides say it still holds in FC 27. Because supply and demand differ there, the PC rate is 2% lower than on consoles today: €6.87 per 100K and €68.69 per million.

Nintendo Switch: not covered

Switch and Switch 2 share Ultimate Team progress with each other, but nothing carries over to the platforms above, and Switch has no cross-play. The order card therefore covers the three clubs described on this page only; coins ordered here cannot reach a Switch club.

Before you buy: which club is yours

The question sounds obvious, yet it decides whether an order is any use. Your club is on the platform where you play FC 27 Ultimate Team. If you moved from one console family to the other, the old club stays behind on the old platform with everything in it, because EA carries progress only within a family. Cross-play does not change that; it only sorts who you are matched against.

So before you buy, think about the rest of the season rather than today. Planning a new console from the same family? Nothing changes, since the club comes along. Planning a move to the other family or to a computer? Then FC 27 coins bought now stay in the club you leave, and it makes more sense to wait and order for the new club once it exists. Not sure? Open Ultimate Team on the device you use most and look at the club name and balance: that is the club an order should go to.

What coins do on every platform

Whatever the platform, FC 27 coins have the same uses: players bought on the Transfer Market, items for squad challenges and anything else Ultimate Team prices in coins. The tools match as well. EA’s browser and mobile apps open the market and the squad challenges for every club, and Streamlined SBCs reached the Companion App on 28 September. Quick-sold a player by mistake? Those apps can recover a player item up to seven days later, five times in any 31 days, as long as you have the same coin amount back in your balance.

Coins earned in matches and coins bought here end up as one and the same balance; nothing marks them apart in your club. The order card at the top switches between the three clubs: the rate it shows always belongs to the tab you pick, and the amount you type is what lands in that club. Nothing is ordered until you press the button and pay at the checkout.

The rules are identical too. EA’s ban on buying coins from third parties and its list of penalties apply to every club in the same way; there is no platform with its own exception for buying FC 27 coins. The safety page quotes EA directly and explains what can follow.

A new club on a new platform

A club opened this season, on any platform, starts with a limited market. A delivery needs that market open twice: once inside the game, after a few Objective groups, and once in EA’s apps, after a number of active days. Both steps, the waiting times and the 7 November deadline are set out on the FC 27 coins page. While either lock is still on, hold off with the purchase; paying first only means the delivery waits. EA advisors cannot open the market early or name a date, so the way through is simply to keep playing.

Buy for the account you play on

Coins cannot cross from one platform to another, and EA’s rules also rule out moving them between accounts. Sending coins to a friend counts as coin distribution, and using several accounts to funnel coins and items into one club breaks the rules as well. Order FC 27 coins for the club you actually play with; buying for a spare account and passing the balance on is exactly what EA describes as a breach. If a friend wants coins too, the friend should place an order with their own details.

Delivery is the same on every platform

Whatever you choose, the FC 27 coins arrive by Comfort Trade within 2 hours: a trader logs in to Ultimate Team via the Web App, where the Transfer Market has to be open, and moves the coins in with a series of trades. You can pick 100K, 250K, 500K, 1M and 2M or type any amount from 100,000. Right now our partner delivers by Comfort Trade alone, so the steps never change from one platform to another.

The buying guide goes through the steps and the checks before payment, and the FC 27 coins page explains when the Web App market opens for new clubs. Refund requests are possible for 21 days from payment, under the policy of our partner marketplace.

Platform questions

Can I use PS4 coins on PS5?

Yes. EA carries Ultimate Team progress from the older Sony console to the newer one, so the club and its coins are the same on both, and the upgrade of FC 27 is free. Order with the PlayStation tab and play on either machine; once the delivery is completed, the coins are in that one club wherever you log in.

Is my Xbox One club the same as on Series X|S?

Yes. Progress carries from Xbox One to Xbox Series X|S, and the upgrade between the two is free. Choose the Xbox tab in the order card and the coins arrive in that single club. What does not work is moving them on to PlayStation or PC afterwards: EA keeps those clubs apart and offers no transfer tool.

Why is the PC price not the same as on consoles?

PC has its own club and, according to player guides, its own Transfer Market, separate from the consoles. Supply and demand on that market differ, so sellers price PC coins on their own. Today PC is 2% cheaper. Whichever is lower, order for the platform you actually play on, because coins cannot be moved between the two.

I play on PlayStation and PC. Which should I order for?

For the club you want to strengthen. The two clubs are separate, so coins ordered for PlayStation never show up on PC, or the other way round. If you play on both, decide where you spend most of your time, or place two orders, one per platform; each needs the delivery details of the EA account that club belongs to.

Do PS5 and Xbox Series X|S players share a market?

According to player guides, yes: in FC 27 all four consoles trade on one Transfer Market, as EA confirmed for FIFA 23 and FC 24. EA has not repeated that statement for FC 27, so treat it as very likely rather than certain. It is also why PlayStation and Xbox coins tend to cost the same on this site.
